Strategy and UX

We lay a strategic foundation to guide ideas and deliver results.

Whatever the purpose or type of digital platform.

Our approach, from strategy to UX

  • Competitive benchmarking

With a solid understanding of competitors and the market, we identify the success factors and differentiators that will elevate the experience for our users.

  • Building a strategic foundation

We gather a wide range of data, from analytics to audience behaviour, to set the project’s main direction and shape our strategic recommendations.

« On va toujours plus loin quand on sait où l’on veut se rendre. »

« La pire erreur est de penser que nous sommes les utilisateurs et que notre opinion compte plus que ceux qui l’utilisent vraiment. »

  • Using the right methods

For example, we use Design Thinking, which values rapid iteration and collaboration, with an emphasis on learning by doing and continuous adaptation.

  • Planning effective user research

We believe that knowing our users well greatly reduces project risk. By gathering their preferences and expectations from the start, we make sure we create an experience people actually want, with the insight we need to innovate and meet their needs.

Methods we use in strategy and UX

An audit starts with understanding the product’s overall mission. We then run a questionnaire with the client to better grasp their field and the project’s challenges.

Exploring existing tools and pain points gives us a bird’s-eye view of the product’s ecosystem, so we can identify potential solutions.

Information architecture organizes and restructures how content and information are presented within a system, an application or a website (sitemap).

Facilitation brings stakeholders into the design process. The facilitator leads workshops that spark raw ideas so the team can innovate together.

This method breaks down a user’s steps, their interactions with a service or product, and their tasks all the way to their end goal.

The result is a clear overview of the user’s intentions and objectives, so we can make concrete improvements and find solutions.

Wireframes are simple, schematic visual representations of a user interface or web page. They define the structure of a page and the relationships between its elements without focusing on aesthetic details.

Accessibility means designing and developing products, services, environments and systems that work for everyone, whatever their abilities.

Relevant content can be built in from the very first wireframes and mockups. We can help you craft copy that resonates with your users and guides their actions effectively.

Since we’re usually not the users ourselves, we need a process that uncovers their real goals and what defines their role in a system. From there, we gather their preferences and observe their actions to find concrete solutions that meet their expectations.

What our clients have to say
about their experience with us

« We have called on Julie Simard of Diapason and her collaborators several times for our design needs and for her expertise as a UX specialist. She works with us on our website as well as our web application. Julie is very talented and attentive to our needs. She is also rigorous about the timelines and budgets set at the outset. We are very satisfied and will continue working with her in the future. We recommend her without hesitation. You’ll be in good hands! »
